We recommend using an up-to-date version of Google Chrome browser for Internet Mixer. We cannot guarantee any Internet Mixer functions on other browsers.
The procedure to check that Google Chrome has the correct access and is using the right device is the same for a camera or a microphone.
To make sure Chrome has access to your camera and microphone, go to your Chrome Browser settings by clicking the Three Dots on the top right of your Chrome Browser, then clicking on Settings near the bottom of the pop-up menu.
Click on the Privacy and Security tab.
Click on Site Settings at the bottom of the Privacy and security menu.
Under Permissions, click on Camera and/or Microphone.
Check that the selected camera/microphone is the correct device.
Make sure that under Default Behaviour, your device is set to allow Sites to ask to use your camera/microphone.
- Nb: You may wish to check that https://internetmixer.com is not present in the section titled Not allowed to use your camera, just in case this has been indadvertedly turned on at some point.
Once this is set, either refresh the room page or rejoin the room. Chrome may now ask for permission to use the devices. Give it all the permissions.
You should now see your video and microphone have activated and you can connect to the session.
